Kid going off to college? Have a new driver in the house?
How about some Adulting 101!?!
Do you have a young adult (teen) in your house that won’t listen to you because, obviously, you don’t know what you’re talking about (you’re just their parent, after all…but they could learn a thing or two about basic automobile maintenance? On Tuesday, January 14, 2020, from 6-8 pm, teens (ages 15-19) are encouraged to attend (registration required) this special event where teens will learn through a series of videos, props & hands-on activities, led by a certified mechanic who will introduce the basics of simple automobile maintenance. The class will focus on the following:
Tires: Checking Tread, checking air pressure, adding air, tire rotation, tire repair & replacement.
Oil changes (How to check fluids and add if necessary)
How to replace Windshield Wiper blades
Gasoline & gas treatments
Battery care, i.e. replacement & jumping a battery
Air Filters replacement
This all-new series, Adulting 101, will focus on skills that will help prepare teens with basic skills for the next phase of life through a sequence of self-help, wellness and informational, instructor-led classes. Parents—if their teen deems them cool enough—are welcome to join as well.
