You’ll flip for the new Flippin’ Fun Run 5K/10K Foot Race
Sugar Land, TX: TEAM ICG Booster Club and Iron Cross Gymnastics of Richmond, Texas announce the Flippin’ Fun Run 5k/10k to be held in Sugar Land, Texas at the Brazos River Park, Saturday, March 2, 2019. The race benefits the TEAM ICG Booster Club that supports the competitive teams of Iron Cross Gymnastics.
“We are thrilled to offer a new foot race for the Sugar Land area at this beautiful location. We want it to be a fun experience for all racers, so regardless of your speed or years running, everyone is welcome at this family-friendly event,” said Carly Engibous, race director.
The 5k is an easy and flat loop that includes part of the beautiful Brazos River trails. The 10k repeats portions of the 5k course to complete the distance. This will be a fun, scenic run to add to your spring schedule. The park features native wildlife, and our run is the perfect way to explore it. Both the 5k and 10k are USATF certified courses.
Both the 5k and 10k are chip-timed races with finisher medals and shirts at the end. There is also a virtual race option for those unable to travel to Sugar Land for the race.
The proceeds from this race will provide travel to competitions, additional training for coaches and also scholarship funds for our first graduating senior gymnasts in the year 2020.
In the case of inclement weather, the race will be canceled and no refunds will be issued. A discount will be offered to all registrants for the 2020 race.
