
Grab your Girlfriends for a Night of Fun at the Girlfriends Giggle!
Girlfriends Giggle is hosted by STARS, the Volunteer Auxiliary of Fort Bend Women’s Center. The 12th Annual Girlfriends Giggle is on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at The Stafford Centre – 10505 Cash Road.
This premier fundraising event was created to benefit domestic violence and sexual assault survivors and their children, so that they can live safe and violence-free lives. Over the 11 year history of the event, $1 million has been raised to support the programs of the Fort Bend Women’s Center.
This event is for woman only, 21 years and older!
For those who have never attended Girlfriends Giggle, you can expect delicious food from top local restaurants, a silent auction, DJ, dancing, shopping, pajama contest and personal indulgences including manicures, massages and more!
Attendees will enjoy a fun, exciting and inspirational night that celebrates friendship and empowerment- all in support of providing Healing &Hope for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Why should the community care about this event?
As the only full-service emergency shelter, and the only DV/SA specific shelter in Fort Bend County, our services are in high demand as Fort Bend County is experiencing rapid population growth, and an accompanying increase in social problems, such as family violence.
About the Fort Bend Women’s Center
In 2016, over 1,100 women and children were served by FBWC
FBWC offers intervention services: a 24-hour crisis hotline; an emergency shelter; rape crisis services; safety planning and lethality assessment; crisis intervention; food and clothing; emergency and basic medical services; neurotherapy; individual and group counseling; transportation; case management; legal accompaniments and advocacy; children’s services; a learning resource center; employment and education assistance including job readiness, financial empowerment, parenting, and self-esteem building workshops; housing assistance programs; all with the goal of helping victims become safe and self-sufficient.

The Fort Bend Women’s Center PennyWise Resale Stores accept donations year round, the proceeds fund FBWC programs and provides clothing and household items for survivors and their children.
