Healing & Hope Fort Bend Women’s Center Luncheon

Domestic violence survivor and advocate, Taylor Armstrong will be the guest speaker at this year’s Fort Bend Women’s Center Healing and Hope Luncheon at Sweetwater Country Club in Sugar Land on October 19.

Taylor ArmstrongThe star of the Bravo TV hit series, ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ will talk about how she hid the dark secret of her abusive marriage and found the courage to leave Russell, who tragically, soon after, took his own life.

Armstrong will also share her experiences as a long time domestic violence advocate, working to raise awareness and educate the public on breaking the cycle of violence.

The Healing and Hope Luncheon is the keynote event in Fort Bend Women’s Center’s annual Domestic Violence Awareness Month campaign.

Fort Bend Women’s Center is the only dedicated domestic violence and sexual assault emergency shelter and crisis hotline in Fort Bend County.

It is also the area’s largest provider of non-residential services such as counseling, advocacy and case management for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Fort Bend Women’s Center CEO, Vita Goodell said: “We are honored that Taylor has agreed to share her story with us at this year’s event. Sadly, her experience shows that domestic violence can, and does, happen to people from every walk of life.”
