Farmers Market Partners-Missouri City Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

(Missouri City, Texas)- Farmers Market Partners-Missouri City will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday, June 29 to celebrate a new location at 5855 Sienna Springs Way at 9 a.m.

Jill Argento and Thomasine Johnson both Missouri City residents, founded the market May 17th, 2018. The market originally located at 2700 Lake Olympia Parkway, quickly became popular and outgrew its space.

“It was important for the market to keep a presence in Missouri City, so with the assistance from Fort Bend County Commissioner Grady Prestage and his staff, we now have wonderful space at the Fort Bend Annex near the library, “said Johnson.

This farmers market will not only highlight local and regional vendors but solidify Missouri City as a great place to do business. The market will give Missouri City residents access to locally grown produce and is a great place to spend Saturday mornings.

“We are so thankful to the administrators and staff of the City of Missouri City for their support of the first farmers market to serve the entire community,” Johnson said.

The market will be every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., giving local businesses an opportunity to share their products with the residents and visitors. Vendors at the market will be selling organic vegetables, fruits, organic beef, organic chicken, and more. One of the highlights of the market is The Young Sprouts Club Lemonade Stand that is run by kidpreneurs, ages of 5 to 12.

In addition to the Farmers Market Partners – Missouri City location, the company also owns farmers markets in Sugar Land and Pearland, which are open on Sundays.
