Sugar Plum Market Celebrates 16th Year of “Making Spirits Bright”
The holidays are quickly approaching, which means one thing in Fort Bend County. It’s Sugar Plum Market time!
The popular holiday shopping event, which is presented by the Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) and Memorial Hermann, is celebrating the 16th year of “Making Spirits Bright.” Shoppers’ spirits will surely be brightened as they enjoy fabulous holiday décor, exciting vendors, and a fun-filled weekend of shopping on Friday, November 4th and Saturday, November 5th at the Stafford Centre Performing Arts Theatre and Convention Center.
Proceeds from the Market will benefit local Fort Bend County charities.
The weekend will begin with a spectacular Preview Night party from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, November 3rd.
Preview Night patrons will be treated to an exclusive evening of shopping, as well as scrumptious hors d’oeuvres catered by 26 Daisies.
The Preview Night ticket also grants those VIP patrons a Preview Night drink ticket, and the opportunity to shop the Market on Friday and Saturday.
Doors will open on Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. With over 100 amazing vendors, shoppers will certainly find gifts for everyone on their list!
Each year the Sugar Plum Market donates needed funds to many local non-profit agencies.
Past beneficiaries include the Fort Bend County Women’s Center, Child Advocates of Fort Bend, the Literacy Council, Lunches of Love, Texana Center, and many more! The 2015 Sugar Plum Market raised a record-breaking $285,000 which benefited more than 17 charitable organizations in Fort Bend County.
The 2016 Market committee hopes to contribute even more. Every sponsorship, Preview Night and General Admission ticket, raffle ticket, concessions and bar purchase, and valet fee help give back to those worthy beneficiaries.
Make plans to attend the Sugar Plum Market this year. You’ll have a blast and be contributing to some wonderful charities at the same time…what a great feeling!
