
SweetNes Honey Jalapeno’ & Cheese Cornbread
Are you a carb lover? I am. I would have to say bread and butter is my weakness, I mean serious WEAKNESS.
Cornbread is a little piece of golden heaven. Especially this time of year with the cooler weather we eat a lot of chili, stews, and soups.
I am sharing with you a delicious Jalapeno’ and Cheese Cornbread recipe from Danessa at SweetNes Honey.

SweetNes Honey Japapeno’ & Cheese Cornbread
Ingredients
- 1 cup Yellow Cornmeal
- 4 tsp Baking Powder
- 2 tbsp SweetNes Honey
- 1 cup Milk
- ¼ cup Vegetable Oil
- ¼ cup Chopped Jalapenos
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 Egg
- ½ cup Diced Velvetta Cheese
- ¼ cup Shredded Cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Grease baking pan or spray with cooking spray, and set pan aside.
- In a large bowl add dry ingredients {cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt}. Mix until combined.
- Add milk, egg, and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients. Beat until smooth.
- Mix in SweetNes Honey, add diced velvetta cheese and jalapenos.
- Pour batter into the prepared baking pan. Drizzle more SweetNes honey on top and sprinkle the shredded cheese. Bake for 20-23 minutes, or until lightly golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
