Thank You from Classic Chevrolet/Sugar Land
Classic Chevrolet Sugar Land had a wonderful 7th Annual Chili Cook-off Saturday April 8th. More than $50,000 was raised for Law Enforcement and Fire/EMS of Fort Bend County, Sugar Land, Stafford, Missouri City, Richmond, Rosenberg and Meadows Place along with The 100 Club.
More than 2000 friends and neighbors from these communities came out to Honor and support these “Great First Responders”.
The visitors sampled some 50 different renditions of Chili prepared right on Classic’s parking lot. Some 500 children climbed the “Rock Wall’, “Bungee Jumped” 15 feet in the air, enjoyed 3 Moon Walks, played games in the “Gaming Truck”, Demolished a car with sledge hammers, ate Hot Dogs-Sno Cones-Pop Corn-Cotton Candy and Dunked their friends in the Dunking Tank. The entire event was fantastically filmed from above by Drone.
All the “Fun” was not reserved for the Kids. The Police and the Fire/EMS were in “Hot Pursuit” of each other not only making the Chili but in the 4-way “Tug of War” contest that went on passionately into the night. All the while, everyone joined into the Zumba and Zydeco Dancing to their hearts content.
Grandiose Trophies were awarded to 21 distinct categories. The “Crowd Favorite” trophy was a monstrous 44 inches tall and was presented to Meadows Place Police Department.
We had 48 teams compete with the following winners:
